North Hollywood, CA asked in DUI / DWI for California

Q: What happens if a CHP officer gave you a fingerprint notification but you are unable to get them because there’s no OPI?

Every live scan location is asking for an OPI and every police CHP or sheriffs office i contacted doesn’t have that information

A: You should contact the lawyer who handled the case to, if necessary, put the matter back on calendar. Then explain the issues so that your lawyer can work out an alternative sentence...if that is what has to be done.

A: If a CHP officer gave you a fingerprint notification but you are unable to obtain your fingerprints due to a lack of OPI (Originating Agency Identifier), you may want to contact the CHP officer who issued the notification and explain the situation. They may be able to provide you with the necessary information or direct you to the appropriate agency that can help you.

It is also possible that there may be alternative ways to obtain your fingerprints, such as through a private fingerprinting service or a different law enforcement agency. You may want to research your options and reach out to local law enforcement or legal experts for guidance.

Ultimately, it is important to resolve the issue as soon as possible to avoid any negative consequences, such as a delay in processing your fingerprints or potential legal or employment consequences.
