Q: I got pulled over for going 89 in a 70. If I pay the ticket do I have to go to court?
I’m okay with taking the classes and getting some of the points taken away and I don’t really want to go in front of a judge.
A: No. If you pay the ticket, you don’t have to go to court. However, 19 over is a 6 point violation. You might want to consider hiring a lawyer to appear for you and get the charge amended. That way you don’t lose any points and you still don’t have to go to court.
