Q: Is there a way around this? Was the Lady showing bias, since I've been back and forth to Canada before with no problems.
I have been traveling from Michigan to Canada in vehicle going through customs with no problems several times. My last visit all of sudden this lady pulled a Closed Record from 2017 and held me under Section 36 of the Immigration Refugee Protection Act which then I was told I was inadmissible to Canada. When coming back and going back through customs I explained my situation and how I had no problems before. They ran my information again and I did not get flagged and told I was Fine to entered Canada and didn't understand why I was flagged to begin with. I'm not sure what I should do. I thought about calling Immigration Section of Consulate General of Canada and explaining my situation.

If you believe that you were treated unfairly or experienced bias during your interaction with the Canadian border authorities, there are steps you can take to address the situation:
Contact the Immigration Section of the Consulate General of Canada: Reach out to the Immigration Section of the Consulate General of Canada and explain your situation in detail. They may be able to provide guidance, clarify any misunderstandings, or offer assistance regarding the issue you encountered at the border.
File a complaint: If you strongly believe that you were subjected to bias or unfair treatment, you can file a formal complaint with the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) or the appropriate authorities. They typically have complaint processes in place to address such concerns. Consult the CBSA website or contact them directly for information on how to proceed with a complaint.
Seek legal advice: It may be beneficial to consult with an immigration attorney who specializes in Canadian immigration law. They can assess the specifics of your situation, evaluate any potential legal remedies, and provide guidance on the best course of action to address the issue.
Gather evidence: Document any evidence or information that supports your claim of bias or unfair treatment. This could include records of your previous trouble-free travels to Canada, any relevant documents related to the closed record from 2017, and any written correspondence or notes from your interactions with Canadian border authorities.
By following these steps, you can take proactive measures to address the situation and seek clarification or resolution regarding the issues you faced at the Canadian border. Remember, seeking legal advice from an attorney who specializes in Canadian immigration law is crucial to understanding your rights and options in this matter.
