Kansas City, MO asked in Traffic Tickets for Kansas

Q: My husband received a ticket that has someone else's name and address and license number on the ticket . Is it valid?

This is in the state of kansas. Also, it does have the correct vehicle date and time. But the ticket has someone else's license number,address , name and description of person.

A: I don't think you are in Kansas any more, Toto. This is sooo strange. If the ticket is written for a different person, it could be that the police officer handed you the wrong copy. You need to check with the court to see if you are scheduled for an appearance on a traffic ticket and go to court to defend yourself. At arraignment, it might be a good idea to ask the Court to dismiss the ticket based on errors on the face of the ticket.
