Q: Can I sue my animal shelter for cost of puppies being spay/neutered and their shots?
I adopted a female dog from animal shelter here in KY and they were suppose to setup for her to be spayed and let me know ahead of time when appointment is. Months later never heard anything, I contacted them and they had an appointment but didn't inform me. I told them make a new one she needs spayed. Never heard anything and I informed them again I needed an appointment still nothing. I've had her almost a year waiting on them. Now she got pregnant and I have puppies because they neglected to get her spayed. Can I hold them responsible for her spay, puppies being spayed and neutered as well as all their shots? Now I have extra expenses.
A: No. The damages, if any, would be so small it would be throwing good money after bad to seek legal action against them.
