Carteret, NJ asked in Uncategorized for New Jersey

Q: If I am 24 years old, can my older sister get a rental for me and I get reimbursed by the at fault drivers insurance.

I was rear ended and the at fault drivers insurance has not gotten back to me. My car is currently in the shop. I was informed by an attorney that I can get a rental on my own in the meantime and keep the receipts, for a reimbursement later. I am 24 years old, can my 27 year old sister get a rental for me and could I submit those receipts for reimbursement even though the rental is not under my name?

Thank you in advance.

A: If you have an attorney on the case, it could be best to check with them. It's possible that using a different name on the rental could create issues in reimbursement. Sometimes it depends on the carrier and rental company. Good luck
