cars were honking, I guess person in front wanted to teach a lesson. I waited a minute then cut behind him and made my left . Cop was just waiting. A: You should hire a local attorney and attempt to beat the allegations. [I litigate cases. Anything posted here must not be construed as legal advice, nor as grounds for forming an attorney-client relationship. You should seek an attorney for formal legal advice and representation.]

A: Traffic citations often have multiple counts, but not usually for exactly the same offense. For instance, if you are solo in the car pool lane, that is one offense; if you crossed the double white lines to get into the lane, that is a second offense. You can be charged with both. You should appear for arraignment and discuss with judge potentially dismissing certain charges if you plead guilty and ask for traffic school on the main charge.

A: The specific charges you mentioned - 22107, 21650, and 21460 - are related to traffic violations such as improper turning, driving on the wrong side of the road, and failure to yield, respectively. Each of these violations may have separate elements and penalties under California law. If you believe you were unfairly charged or have a valid explanation for your actions, you may choose to contest the charges in court and present your case to the judge.
