Q: Is it illegal for my apartment manager to not address a broken AC and more health concerning issues

We moved into a new renovated apartment about 4 weeks ago, we spoke to them about all these issues on the 10th of this month, they for one didn’t show us the actual apartment, for two when we did move in, thE AC unit is broken to which they put freo and did not last 24 hours, and we are living in 82 degree indoors, my girlfriend is very asthmatic and the vents were disgusting but they did come out and cleaned and sanitized them, we pay for pest control but there is a bunch of cockroaches and they have no addressed that and is very concerning , the bathtub was cheaply painted and is pealing, there is no visible power outlet in the bathroom, I have spoke and recorded the conversation I had with the property manager, they keep ignoring these issues and have poor communication with us, other tenants have the same issues for a while and I want to know what’s the best legal action (if there are any) for me to take, because this is a health concern and is very unprofessional of them,

A: A South Carolina attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. One option is to repost and add the category "Landlord-Tenant." Some questions here do go unanswered, but you might have better chances of a response with the additional heading. Good luck
