A: Mediation schedules can be flexible to accommodate the availability of both parties involved. If one party is requesting a delay due to travel plans or other reasons, it's typically possible to reschedule the mediation session. However, the success of mediation often relies on both parties' willingness to participate and reach a resolution. If one party consistently delays or avoids the process, it might impact the effectiveness of the mediation. It's important for both parties to communicate openly and work towards finding a suitable time for the session.

A: A Georgia attorney could advise best, based on state-specific rules or the protocols of the hosting organization. In general nationwide, parties can ask for adjournments or other forms of rescheduling requests. Such requests are usually subject to consent from other side and approval by mediator or arbitrator, and can be limited in the number granted, depending on forum. Good luck
