First, police and the prosecution may be doubted about later made claims about amounts, to the extent the search warrant receipt does not meet reasonable expectations for specificity. Not likely grounds for dismissal, but fuel for impeachment. Second, if the deficiency is substantial, it could support an inference of malfeasance on the part of the law enforcement officers conducting the search warrant execution.
