Without seeing the interrogatories, motion to compel, response, order on the motion to compel, motion for contempt, response, reporter’s record from the hearing on the motion for contempt, and the court’s order on the motion for contempt, it is impossible to offer an opinion as a lawyer on why your spouse was not held accountable.
My guess is someone missed one or more steps in the process of asking the court to hold your spouse accountable, as that is most often what happens in my experience.
