A: The mark K KINKASSAGE (and design) was registered on 08/12/2014, and the required maintenance filing to show continuing use was accepted in 2020, extending the registration to its full ten-year term. To renew the registration for an additional ten-year term, its owner must submit proof of continuing use and pay a $300 renewal fee between the 9th and 10th anniversary of the registration, namely, between now and 08/12/2024. The renewal could be made as late as 02/12/2025 with payment of an additional $100 "grace period" fee. (These fees are for electronic filing, the fees for paper filings are greater.)

A: Actually, the previous answer is mostly correct except that it does not account for the fee for filing the Declaration of Continued Use. A Combined Section 8 Declaration of Continued Use and Section 9 Renewal filing (both of which are needed for the registration to continue) is $525.00 if filed by 8/12/2024 or $725.00 if filed during the grace period ending on 2/12/2025.

A: It's essential to check the most current fee schedule on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website and consult with a trademark attorney for precise details regarding your specific trademark.
