Q: I had an accident and my insurance has refused to cover my claim because I was doing DoorDash and I need a proof of finc
And I need a proof of financial responsibility in the form of certificate of compliance
A: Contact Door Dash to obtain proof of commercial motor vehicle liability coverage. Companies like Uber, Lyft, and Door Dash have such coverage for when drivers are “on the clock.”

A:
Whenever you earn money by driving, that driving is NOT covered under your personal automobile coverage unless you purchase coverage for business use of your vehicle. Most people do not purchase this coverage because it is much more expensive. Before you agree to drive for a rideshare company, DoorDash, or even deliver a pizza, you must confirm insurance coverage through the contract employer or purchase commercial insurance. Failure to do one of those means that you are driving without insurance. When you do that, you risk losing everything you own.
If DoorDash refuses to provide you with coverage, you are personally liable for all personal injury and property damage that results from an at-fault accident.
