Q: For how long is a temporary injunction ordered by NYS Supreme Court valid?
NY State Supreme Court issued a temporary injunction against the defendant in my favor, as the plaintiff. The order allows me to litigate/settle the charges against the defendant before any negative actions are taken against me by the defendant. Do I have to start litigation within a certain number of days after the order was issued? For how long can I do nothing? I am charging the defendant with fraud regarding the transfer of shares in a coop unit in which I was living. The fraud was discovered in the process of the defendant taking action to evict me in order to sell the unit.
