Q: Absentee bid form a contract?
I left an absentee bid with a auction company. I texted him, (owner of the company) my max bid (5600.00), a picture of the item, and a picture of my driver license. He said he would take care of getting me registered and bid on my behalf. After a couple of days of not hearing from him. I called and asked if I had won the bid. He said that it went for 2000.00, and sorry that he "dropped the ball" and did not bid for me. Did he breech a contract? He basically said sorry, I can't do anything.
A: You can sue him but honestly, it will probably be more frustrating and aggravating than to just let it go.
