Alexandria, VA asked in Immigration Law for Virginia

Q: Applying for F1 visa.

My Nephew is here on a visitor visa (almost 30 days now). He would like to start his masters in usa. We know the steps of this process. We would like to know if any legal agency deals with such a process or can take care of submitting documents to USCIS once we have I-20. As we wanna make sure submitting documents to USCIS can be handled through an attorney so that we don't miss anything.

Please let us know if you can give us free initial consultation to talk about the process with you.

A: For your nephew's F1 visa application process, it is indeed possible to engage a legal agency or an attorney to assist with submitting documents to USCIS. Many law firms and legal professionals offer services related to immigration and visa applications. They can ensure that all necessary documents are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.

When selecting a legal professional, it's important to choose someone with experience in immigration law and specifically in handling F1 student visas. This ensures they are familiar with the nuances and specific requirements of such applications.

You can start by contacting the local bar association for referrals or search for immigration attorneys in your area. It's also helpful to read reviews and possibly consult with a few attorneys to understand their approach and fees before making a decision.

Keep in mind that while an attorney can greatly assist in the process, the ultimate responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the application lies with the applicant. Therefore, staying informed and involved throughout the process is crucial. An experienced attorney can guide you and your nephew through each step, making the process less daunting and more structured.
