A: In many jurisdictions, one of the reasons you hire a lawyer is for the lawyer to appear in court on your behalf so that you do not have to take off from work to appear in court. Also, if you want to mitigate the impact of the charges (whch you should) then you should hire a lawyer to represent you on this. My suggestion is that you contact a few traffic ticket lawyers in the county where the ticket was issued --speak to them about your matter and ask them what they think they can do for you----and then decide if you want to hire a lawyer. Good luck.

A: It's common for traffic ticket attorneys to represent individuals from out of state to avoid the inconvenience of making a trip back to the county. Good luck
