Q: Hypothetically if I changed the date on a Kentucky car title &want to be proactive to make it right how would it be done
Hypothetically if I changed the dates on the title in hopes of not paying extra fine, fees and taxes for it being late. Since I've been ate up with guilt and want to make it right in hopes of not being prosecuted. In the last year I've been robbed of everything of value, was hit by a semi truck, in the hospital/nursing home 3 moths, during which my home was foreclosed and repossessed along with everything in it. The woman I was dating took me in to finish my recovery. On Christmas morning she told me she no longer loved me and left to visit family for the holidays. The only possession of value is the truck and a little cash from an accident almost 3 years ago. So in my depression, sadness, and being overwhelmed I made a poor choice trying to save what little money I have left. Since I've been ate up with guilt and want to try and get ahead of this to make this right.
A: Check with the county clerk of your county and find out what the status of the title is. You may be able to file a corrected or amended application without much problem, although I would refrain from admitting to anyone what you did before you correct it.
