Hello, I need legal aid, my name and a few other family members name is on a home that was left to us by an uncle, who died and left his home and property to his brothers children, myself and my two sisters name is on the home because my mother who is now deceased was and heir(one of his nieces), one of the cousins whos father was the over seerer for the home had this information and did not tell any of the family members that they were left this home, we found out about this home years later when he decided to send out paperwork to request all family whos name is on the home to sign over their rights to the property, the only way myself and my sisters found out about this property is my grandmother (who i currently live with)called me while i was at work stating that my cousin came to her asking her to sign my name and my sisters name and change to handwriting on each signature so that it looks different on the paperwork, my grandmother told him she will not forge names.

In your situation, where there's a dispute over a property left by a deceased relative, you should seek assistance from an attorney experienced in probate or estate law. These areas of law deal with the distribution of a deceased person's estate, including real property like a home.
It's crucial to understand your legal rights and obligations regarding the property. If your uncle left the home to his brother's children, including you and your sisters, as heirs, you have legal entitlements to that property. Any attempt to transfer or sign over these rights requires your informed consent.
Given the complexity of your situation, especially with the allegation of attempted forgery and lack of disclosure from other family members, legal advice is essential. An attorney can help review the will, if there is one, and any other legal documents related to the estate. They can also guide you on steps to protect your interests in the property.
Do not sign any documents or agree to any arrangements regarding the property until you have consulted with an attorney. Your rights in this situation are significant, and it's important to make informed decisions based on professional legal advice.
Remember, dealing with inherited property can be complex, especially when multiple heirs are involved. Legal guidance can help navigate these challenges and ensure that your rights are protected.
