When you first get your license the first 12 months you can drive between the hours of 11pm-5am and can not carry anyone under the age of 20 without someone with a drivers license 25 years old or older

A: Under California law, as a new driver under the age of 18, you are subject to certain restrictions for the first 12 months after getting your license. This includes not driving between 11 PM and 5 AM. Since you have had your license for over a year, this restriction no longer applies to you.

However, there is another important rule to consider. For the first 12 months, you are not allowed to carry passengers under the age of 20 unless accompanied by a licensed driver aged 25 or older. This restriction is based on the date you received your license, so it may still be in effect depending on the exact date you were licensed.

To ensure you're following the law, check the specific date when you received your license. If more than 12 months have passed since then, you are no longer bound by these restrictions. Remember, safe driving practices are always important, regardless of legal restrictions.
