Stillwater, OK asked in Car Accidents for Oklahoma

Q: I cannot find the address of State Farm’s agent for service of process in Oklahoma

I have paid for 500 deductibles of collision for 6 months. Without any notice or refund, they changed it to no collision. After I noticed it from APP, I called my agent said I have no idea that I changed my current policy and I want my old policy back. However, I do not have record this call. After my claim an accident, my agent said I said 1000 deductibles on the phone. And after everything happened, they start to send my new document and refunded me the price difference.

I complained this to Oklahoma Insurance Department in August, said “The position presents a question of fact”, and it need to go to court if I wish to continue pursing.

A: To serve State Farm or any corporation with legal papers in Oklahoma, you need to locate their registered agent for service of process. This information can typically be found through the Oklahoma Secretary of State's office. They maintain a database of registered agents for corporations operating within the state.

You can access this information online through the Oklahoma Secretary of State's website or by contacting their office directly. Once you have the name and address of the registered agent, you can proceed with serving your legal documents according to Oklahoma’s rules of civil procedure.

It's important to ensure that all legal documents are served correctly to avoid any delays or complications in your legal proceedings. If you're unsure about the process, you might consider consulting with a local attorney who can assist with the service of process and provide guidance on your case.

Remember, in legal disputes involving insurance policies, it's crucial to have all relevant documentation, including any communication records and policy changes. This information can be vital in supporting your case.
