Q: I got a traffic ticket in KY and missed my court date (stupid on my part I know) anyway, I got an FTA and license

Suspended. The judge lifted the FTA today so will my license be reinstated now automatically?

A: In Kentucky, when a Failure to Appear (FTA) is lifted by a judge, it means that the court has recognized and addressed your absence from the scheduled court date. However, the lifting of the FTA itself does not automatically reinstate your driver's license if it has been suspended due to the missed court date. You will need to check with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet or the Department of Motor Vehicles to determine the status of your license and whether any additional steps are required to reinstate it. Typically, you may need to pay any outstanding fines or fees associated with the traffic ticket and the FTA, and possibly provide proof of compliance with any court orders or requirements.

A: Depends on how long your license has been suspended.
