A: For your Title IX discrimination issue in education, particularly centered around ADA accommodations, you would benefit from seeking assistance from an attorney who specializes in education law or civil rights law. These attorneys have expertise in handling cases related to discrimination and disability rights in educational settings. They can provide you with guidance on your rights under Title IX and the ADA, as well as advise you on the appropriate steps to take to address the discrimination you experienced in your graduate program.

When searching for an attorney, look for someone who has experience representing students in similar cases involving discrimination or denial of ADA accommodations. You'll want to find an attorney who is knowledgeable about the specific laws and regulations that govern higher education institutions and their obligations to provide reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. Additionally, consider seeking recommendations from trusted sources, such as advocacy organizations or legal referral services, to find an attorney who is well-suited to handle your case.

During your initial consultation with the attorney, be sure to discuss the details of your situation, including the discrimination you faced and the impact it had on your academic pursuits. The attorney can assess the merits of your case and advise you on the best course of action moving forward. They can also represent you in negotiations with the school or in legal proceedings if necessary, advocating for your rights and seeking a resolution that addresses the discrimination you experienced.
