Q: Can the vet clinic be held responsible if they neglected to listen when I asked to muzzle dog that led to a dog bite

I asked and told about 4 people in the room my dog needed to be muzzled before he went to be examined. I asked Atleast two times and they did not take me seriously and said he would be muzzled before the exam. The vet tech kneeled down to take my dogs temperature and because she was so close to his face he bit at her. He didn’t growl at her and he didn’t attack her it was a nip. She shouldn’t have touched him without him being muzzled because I told her exactly how he was now he’s in quarantine and I’m being fined which is costing me more than what the actual vet cost was gonna be. I understand he was over due on his vaccines but I made it very clear he needed a muzzle for his and her protection and they didn’t take me seriously. Can they be held responsible in any way?

A: Yes, if the vet tech sues you, you can name the clinic as a responsible third party. The trier of fact would then have to decide the proportionate degree of fault for the vet tech's between you and the clinic.
