Anaheim, CA asked in Personal Injury

Q: How do I find out which lawyers have experience with a city bus company regarding injuries? a list or way to find them

It seems most lawyers here don't want to get involved with MTD bus or Transportation Dept. Should my lawyer be from Santa Barbara County only? Or is our of county okay? Can I place an ad somewhere to attract them. Are any pro bono or contingency?

A: A California attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. I recommend you not lose valuable time, and instead reach out to California accident attorneys to set up a consult. Public carrier transportation cases nationwide almost always involve short filing deadlines due to notice of claim requirements. They are unlike ordinary motor vehicle accidents in this respect. Only a California attorney could advise on your applicable timelines, but without knowing when your accident occurred, I'd suggest reaching out to local attorneys to discuss.

Pro bono is a non-issue in these types of cases. They are not pro bono matters. If you discuss case with attorneys, you will learn that many work on a contingency basis - that's the norm in the industry. You won't need to place an ad. If you reach out to attorneys you search for on your own, through the "Find a Lawyer" tab above, or through bar associations, many will be happy to offer you a free initial/no-obligation consult. Those resources are outside this forum, so any arrangements would be between you and attorneys you might reach out to.

I hope you are okay. So in summary, don't lose valuable time in learning your applicable timelines/filing deadlines. Good luck
