Q: If lolicon is illegal, why are there so many sites and images showing it? Doesn't the FBI have the power to take it down
I'm 14 and and I watch lolicon (ages 15 16 17 18 ect.) I had no Idea it was illegal because when I searched it up, thousand of websites and result would show up which looking back, is shocking because if it was illegal and people get arrested for viewing it, why doesn't the FBI take down the websites as they have the power to do so? Do people actually get arrested for viewing it? What will happen to me? I quite 2 weeks ago and I didn't download, sell, buy, or distribute anything.
A:
I would strongly urge you to avoid viewing any such content in the future, both for legal reasons and because it is exploitative and harmful. If you are struggling with an attraction to minors, I'd recommend speaking to a counselor or therapist who can provide support and guidance on managing those feelings in a healthy, legal and ethical manner. There are also online support communities for those dealing with attractions to minors.
Please know that help is available and that having viewed this content in the past does not make you a bad person, especially at your young age. The most important thing is to stop engaging with it going forward. If you are concerned about potential legal consequences, consulting with a lawyer could help clarify your situation. Wishing you all the best.
