Somerset, KY asked in Criminal Law for Kentucky

Q: how can I get this case dropped after 3 yrs of waiting to be indicted and I'm innocent?

I let a mechanic drive my car to take my son and I to school to drop him off to test drive after he done work on it the night before to make sure it was running properly. The resource officer noticed that I was drowsy, which was due to a new medication that I had just began taking, and asked if I was driving. I told him I wasn't and he proceeded outside and asked Mr. Hall, the Mechanic, to exit the vehicle and searched him. Long story short he found multiple, small quantities, of drugs in little black plastic containers on his person. They found nothing on me except my prescription medication. In the car they found another small black container containing an unspecified drug behind the drivers seat. I'm assuming that he had attempted to empty his pockets when he saw the officer coming and only partially dumped the drugs. He first denied the drugs were his, so we were both charged with TRAFFICKING ON SCHOOL PROPERTY. when he realize i was being arrested he tried to tell them the truth.

A: If they haven’t indicted you by now, they are probably not going to after three years.
