Houston, TX asked in Criminal Law for Texas

Q: Narcissist attacking me and I have proof can I get a free counseltaion. I have proof.

A few days ago someone approached a DM of one of my social media accounts and said they knew for a very long time my people were being weird and have screenshots. They sent these to me and I'm concerned and scared. My sister has been drone stalking, cyber stalking, making a false reports under false names to CPS code compliance etc. She even helped set me up to help a CPS worker gain custody of 2 of my kids in the past. A friend also works for cc housing and she literally has been messing with my lease for a long time and I have texts from that to. It's scary and crazy and I'm needing to get this resolved due to the damage this sick person has done to my family and I. Possibly also getting her psychiatric help because on the constant attacking my children because she said nobody needs to like me. This woman is 33 years old.

A: It is highly unlikely an attorney will provide a free consultation based on the facts you describe.

Filing a false report under a false name with CPS is a crime. Stalking is a crime. They should be reported to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution, especially if you have proof as you claim. Because CPS reports are often anonymous, it can often be very difficult for law enforcement to gather enough evidence to pursue a false claim charge. But, if you do have such proof, law enforcement is in the best position possible to pursue such a claim because they have access to information from CPS that you likely do not have and that a civil attorney cannot obtain.

You may have a civil claim for defamation. But defamation claims are difficult to pursue and are usually not covered by insurance. So be prepared to pay a reasonable hourly rate to any competent and experienced attorney willing to undertake such a case.

Getting an adult relative psychiatric help likely will require you to apply to become a guardian of your sister's person. That is a particular niche area of practice and competent and experienced attorney in that area of law will require a reasonable hourly fee. In addition, cooperation of your sister's health care providers will be essential.

So the short answer to your question is you probably need to pursue three separate avenues and, with the exception of law enforcement, you should expect to pay for any consultation with a private attorney on the facts you describe.
