Q: Would I have grounds for a legal case against the airline, Southwest?
Would I have grounds for a legal case against the airline for compelling me to maintain an upright seated position despite my paralysis from the waist down, necessitating my seat to be reclined to prevent the risk of sliding to the ground during the flight? On a recent flight the flight attendant argued me down about putting my seat up although I am unable to sit this way on the flight. Sitting upright causes me to slide down the seat and I am unable to maintain balance on my own. During the flight, I slid several times had to attempt to grip the seat in front of me in order not to fall causing me pain and humiliation. I have flown several times and have been informed that my seat is to remain down during flights in order to prevent injury.
