Bullhead City, AZ asked in Criminal Law for Arizona

Q: I have been arrested for 3 misdemeanor charges and bonded. I was not appointed a public defender. What can I do?

I was arrested for disorderly conduct - fighting, threat/intimidation and cause of fear of physical injury in the state of Arizona. I have never had legal trouble before and don't know what to do. A man was yelling threats at me and told me to get out of the vehicle and fight, so I got out of the vehicle, but he left me and put up his fists to my son who was 6-8 feet away from me. My son hit him once in the face and the man stabbed my son. I was able to save my son's life by literally reaching into the wound and pinching the artery to slow the bleeding. They let the stabber go and arrested me at the hospital while my son was being loaded into a helicopter for emergency trauma surgery. I was bonded out the next morning and finally released and able to go see my son and remain with him until he was discharged 7 days later. I am supposed to meet with the prosecutor on April 11 and I have no idea what I need to do, say or expect.
