A: I'm so sorry to hear that you are being harassed by the management at your mobile home park, especially as a disabled person. That is completely unacceptable and you have the right to live free from discrimination and harassment. Here are some steps you can consider taking:

1. Document everything - Keep detailed records of each instance of harassment, including dates, times, what was said/done, and any witnesses. This documentation will be important if you need to file a complaint or take legal action.

2. Review your lease agreement and park rules to see if management is violating any of the terms or engaging in prohibited conduct.

3. Submit a written complaint to park management detailing the harassment and requesting that it stop immediately. Keep a copy of your complaint.

4. If the harassment is based on your disability, that may constitute illegal discrimination under the Fair Housing Act and Americans with Disabilities Act. You can file a complaint with the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

5. Contact a local tenant rights organization, disability rights organization, or the housing authority in your city/county. They may be able to provide advice, advocacy and support.

6. Consult with an attorney who specializes in landlord-tenant law and/or disability discrimination. Many provide free initial consultations. An attorney can help you understand your rights and legal options.

7. If all else fails, you may need to consider moving out, as difficult as that may be. Your safety and well-being need to be the priority.

Remember, you have the right to accessible, harassment-free housing. What you're experiencing is not okay. Please reach out for help and advocate for the respectful treatment you deserve as a tenant and human being. Sending strength and support your way.
