Coolidge, AZ asked in Criminal Law for Arizona

Q: STATE OF AZ, CO PINAL, IF SOMEONE WERE ARRESTED, CHARGED W A FELONY VIA DIRECT COMPLAINT&HELD, WHAT WLD HAPPEN NEXT?

IF THAT PERSON WERE FLAGGED FOR EARLY DISPOSITION COURT AND 10 DAYS AFTER THE ARREST WERE TAKEN FROM JAIL TO THE INITIAL EDC HEARING AND AT THAT HEARING MADE IT CLEAR THAT THEY HAD NO INTENTION OF TAKING THE PLEA THAT WAS SHOWN TO HIM/HER NOR ANY OTHER PLEA, WLD THAT CHANGE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?

IF AT THAT POINT, THE GRAND JURY WISHED TO SEEK AN INDICTMENT, WOULDN'T THEY HAVE TO DO SO PRIOR TO THE PRELIMINARY HEARING AS TO NOT VIOLATE THAT PERSONS RIGHTS?

IN ORDER FOR EDC TO CONTINUE, ONE WOULD HAVE TO WAIVE THEIR PRELIMINARY HEARING, CORRECT? DOES THIS HAVE TO BE IN WRITING?

PRETTY MUCH EVERY LAW RELATED SITE FOR MY AREA STATES THAT FORMAL CHARGES FOR A FELONY ARE FILED VIA DIRECT COMPLAINT OR GJ INDICTMENT? WHY DOES PINAL CO SUPERIOR COURT STATE DC AND/OR INDICTMENT? WHY WOULD ONE NEED BE CHARGED BY BOTH?AND THEN WHAT IS AN INFORMATION? I THOUGHT THAT INITIATED FORMAL CHARGES AS WELL.
