Q: In Arkansas can an employer/newly placed as 10-99 hold our check without reason?
My name is Josh I live in Arkansas and my employer who switched from w-2 to 10-99 let me go on April 1st has been holding my check until I contacted office on 4/12 and they told me they need their company laptop back. Which I was going to give them their laptop back but didnt know what we needed to do to get check because they stop communicating. Today they want me to drop laptop and they will have it checked out by BestBuy then they will bring my check. How should I handle this situation to ensure I get my check and follow the law?
