Q: Debt Servicing (TOP)garnishing social security
Paid in Full was improperly recorded. After updated records are validated Paid in Full. I forwarded it to Debt servicing to no avail. There has been no Lien recorded. I contacted my former mortgage company and they were researching.
Today I received a letter from Debt servicing it was DETERMINED DEBT WAS PAID IN FULL. They offered to refund April's social security garnishment.
I reached out to them and requested all funds plus interest, referencing the validated county records that were recorded in July 2020. Their response was they received a NOTICE dated 4/4/24 the debt was paid in full. They would only refund 1 month. This debt has forced me to go back to work after retirement, a financial burden for the past 3 years, and credit significantly affected loss of family time. mental and emotional duress. I am a senior and I am feeling abused by the lack of attention in this matter. What are my legal rights?
