Atlanta, GA asked in Uncategorized for North Carolina

Q: I am being billed $500 for my gas company to come out and trace a leak. They quoted me $100. Can they do that?

I paid my gas company approximately $800 to fill my propane tank about 2 months ago. After a month I realized I was almost empty. I asked them to come and trace the leak. They quoted me $100 for this service. I approved the price for the work. When I got the bill it was for $500 including labor and materials. The quote was to come out and trace the leak. That's what they did. Nothing more. Is this legal?
