Middleton, ID asked in Employment Discrimination and Employment Law for Idaho

Q: My husband is being targeted and harassed at work by his boss. He is not a protected class, what can be done?

My husband is the only male in his department at work. His boss has threatened his employment in part due to him doing things that his female co-workers have also done, but no repercussions have fallen on them. His boss has been targeting him all school year and has created a very hostile environment to the point where my husband has had to take off work due to his mental health. He has been put on probation in part due to an issue where his co-worker (a female who is head of the department) told him was ok to do. And she has also done this thing, but she has not been put on probation. There have been so many ways the Principal has targeted and harrassed him, which my husband has documented in a 40+ page document that was shared with the Superintendent. Nothing has changed since sharing this document, and the harassment has continued and has led to him being put on probation. Do we potentially have a case?
