Q: I need help filing a lawsuit against Texas border town sheriffs department, prison system, Del Rio police department
I’m being charged with smuggling of people when I drove a friend to eagle pass to pick up what I thought was his nephew. There was never talk of money to be exchanged or anything . A sheriff in a truck out of the blue and tail my car with his bright lights on never the police lights. My gps changed suddenly and told me to turn right into a neighbor with this police officer tailing me so close he almost hit the back of my car when I had to break suddenly. I went to pull into a drive way to turn around. The cop parked his truck across the street and once I approached a stop sign he yelled if I was lost and I said no and went to make a left turn when he jumped out of his truck and blocked me from leaving. Tgat incident ended up with me and my passenger being arrested . My wallet being taken with held my social security and all my bank cards. 3 months later I received a call that my wallet was found in that sheriffs glove box but he didn’t know how it got there. There are so many issues

It sounds like you’ve experienced a troubling and complex situation with multiple law enforcement agencies. To pursue a lawsuit, it's important to gather all evidence and documentation related to the incident, including any police reports, witness statements, and any communication records.
Next, you should document your version of events in detail, noting any discrepancies or suspicious behavior by the officers involved. Since your wallet was found in a sheriff's glove box, you might have a case for misconduct or mishandling of your personal property, which is crucial for your lawsuit.
It's essential to act quickly, as there are often time limits for filing claims against government entities. Seeking legal assistance from a lawyer experienced in civil rights and constitutional law can help ensure that your rights are protected and your case is presented effectively.
