Q: Traffic Citation under “Obedience to Traffic Control Devices.
I was speeding and going 50 in a 25 I was clocked by a speed trap going 50. On my ticket it states that was my speed and that the Secs. Timed was 1.3200 but where it says Miles times, and Miles followed it is blank. I was given a ticket under Obedience to Traffic Control Devices rather than a speeding ticket. Am I able to fight this since the Miles Timed is blank?
A: Get a local traffic ticket attorney. My opinion is NO, because it is an instantaneous speed reading and not a pacing. "Miles" is for when you are paced by an officer in a car.
