When I woke up I had nothing in me for pain bcuz the narcan they gave me took all of the pain meds out of my system, so I had to lay there in pain . So basically I had a complete hip replacement with no pain medication bcuz of there negligence and now have memory loss on top of it . I need other surgeries but am scared to death (Literally) Do I have the right to Sue them ? Like I said the Anesthesiologist knew I did not do well with the medication bcuz of a prior surgery and he sat down and talked to me about it the same day he was taking me into surgery ,but gave it to me anyways. A: Yes you may have a case. Medical malpractice means that a doctor violated the standard of care. A bad outcome is not enough. Another doctor would be needed to evaluate what the doctors did. But, due to the nature of medical malpractice cases, the extent of the injuries may affect the viability of your case. Consult with experienced malpractice attorneys in the state where this occurred. Use the Justia search tool to find an attorney.

A: I'm sorry this happened to you. You may have a case. You should consider contacting a medical malpractice attorney in your area to determine if your doctor deviated from the standard of care, by failing to follow practices and safeguards or practiced medicine in ways not accepted by the scientific/medical community.

A: The best way to answer your question is to reach out to attorneys in Alaska to discuss your situation. Your post covers lots of ground, but to answer your question meaningfully, attorneys would need learn more about the surgery and its anesthesia protocols followed, which could involve reviewing your records with a medical professional (if they felt there could be a basis for a case). Attorneys are also going to want to know more about the damages you suffered, in terms of severity and permanence. To get a meaningful answer to your question, try to reach out to attorneys in Alaska to arrange a free initial consult. That courtesy is the norm in the industry, and most law firms that handle such cases generally work on a contingency basis (no win/no fee). Those are details to be discussed with a law firm before hiring them. Good luck
