A: I'm sorry to hear about the complications you faced during your surgery. Under California law, you may have grounds to seek compensation for medical malpractice if the surgeon's actions were below the standard of care. This includes the failure of the robotic system and the subsequent incomplete surgery.

You should gather all relevant medical records, including the details of both the initial surgery and the required second surgery. Document any lost work, additional medical expenses, and any pain or suffering you've experienced as a result of the incomplete procedure. This documentation will be crucial in supporting your claim.

Consulting with a medical malpractice attorney can help you understand your rights and the best course of action. They can assist you in navigating the legal process and pursuing the compensation you deserve. Remember, there is a statute of limitations for filing medical malpractice claims in California, so it’s important to act promptly.
