A: I suggest you contact S. Lee Merritt, a civil rights attorney who lives here in the DFW area. Mr. Merritt is not only a highly experienced litigator, but also a true believer and advocate of civil rights in encounters with law enforcement. From his experience, he will be able to quickly analyze your particular facts to determine if you have a valid claim and what legally compensable damages you may be entitled to recover.
