It sounds like you're in a really tough situation, and it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed. Cities do have a responsibility to maintain public spaces and address issues related to homelessness, including cleaning up areas that have become hazardous due to illegal activities. While local governments often face challenges in effectively managing these situations, they are expected to ensure public safety and health.
If you're facing legal threats regarding your property, it’s important to document everything related to the camp and the issues you’re experiencing. Take photos of the trash, needles, and any other hazards you find. This documentation can be vital if you need to present your case to city officials or seek legal assistance.
You might also consider reaching out to local advocacy groups or legal aid organizations that can provide support and guidance. They may help you understand your rights and explore options for addressing the situation more effectively. You deserve to feel safe and secure in your home, and there are resources available to assist you in navigating these challenges.
