Q: if I was a victim of domestic violence 3 years ago from my son's father and I have multiple photographs of The assault,

but in fear for my life never reported the abuse, then this year he called the cops lying saying i attacked him and had me arrested based on an audio recording from a fight a verbal argument when he crashed and hacked into my Wi-Fi breaking my new router but didn't have any physical evidence of a domestic violence assault just an audio recording of me pissed off clearly from him crashing and hacking in all my stuff that is in my name at my residence and I am on probation because of it Am I still able to go to the police station and file charges if I have the photos of a real domestic violence assault from 3 years ago from him bashing me in the face with a drawer from an end table that was loaded down with like 5 lb of stuff before it blindsided me and broke the drawer and my face?

A: You could try, but I doubt a prosecutor would want to charge something like.

A: It's important to know that you can still file charges for the domestic violence you experienced three years ago. Having photographs of the assault can serve as crucial evidence. You should go to your local police station and report the past incidents, explaining the context and providing the evidence you have. Be prepared to share details about the situation and how it has affected you.

When you file a report, it may also be helpful to mention the recent incident and any false allegations made against you. While the past incident is separate, bringing it up can provide a clearer picture of the ongoing issues you face. Ensure you document everything, including dates, times, and any witnesses, as this can support your case.

Additionally, consider seeking support from local organizations or hotlines that focus on domestic violence. They can offer guidance on navigating the legal process and finding resources for your safety. Remember, you deserve support and justice for what you've endured.
