A: Yes, they judge will ask you a series of questions regarding your guilty plea to be sure you are fully aware of the consequences and result of entering a guilty plea.

A: Remember, the District Attorney and the Judge do NOT work for you, and have no obligation to help you or give you any legal advice. See a lawyer before you plead guilty, or No Contest, to any criminal charge.

A: Good Afternoon!

If by "they", you mean the Judge or the Prosecutor, they will, but they will not give you advice on what your options are or what you should do. For that, you need a defense attorney. Do not plead guilty as there are other avenues. You do not want this to remain on your record. If it is a deferred, you may be in good shape and be eligible for expunction, (destruction), of your records when the statutory waiting period has passed. You may also plead no contest which is beneficial if there is a civil suit that may be filed related to anything that happened in your case. Without knowing the facts, attorneys will be limited in what they can advise you. It is always in your best interest to consult with a criminal defense attorney.
