A: Husband's death should not alter the execution of the contract. However you should know that you do not own the property, only a contractual right to demand a deed upon the final payment with no other defaults. Be very careful. You may wish to pay the remaining payments off now and demand the deed. If owner refuses, or sues you for possession, hire an OH lawyer immediately. Also read your contract carefully.

A: If you continue to make payments, you still have the option to purchase. Make sure you can still qualify for financing without your husband's income.
