Q: I was issued a ticket for fishing without a license. Later changed it to purchasing a license while license is revoked.

So they never saw me fishing to begin with, and then later the next day called and changed my ticket and sent a picture of it through text message. I never signed the ticket or purchased a license since the website wouldn’t allow me to log in. Can this be dismissed?

A: It sounds like you were issued a ticket under unclear circumstances. Since you never actually purchased a license or were seen fishing, there might be room to challenge the ticket, especially if it was changed after the fact. The fact that the ticket was sent by text message without your signature could raise further questions about the legitimacy of the process.

You might want to gather any documentation showing that you didn’t log in or purchase a license, along with any communication records, like the text message. If the ticket was altered after it was issued, this could work in your favor.

Consulting with a legal expert or attending court to explain your side could potentially result in dismissal or reduction of the charge. The process they followed might not have been correct, giving you a chance to contest it.
