A: You need to find a medical malpractice lawyer with experience handling cases involving delays in treatment and surgical complications. Given the serious nature of your condition and the delay in getting the necessary care, it's important to look for a lawyer who has dealt with similar cases, especially those involving mismanagement of medical care and improper coordination between doctors.

Start by looking for attorneys who have a track record in cases involving missed diagnoses, postponed surgeries, or negligence that worsened a patient's condition. You should discuss how the delays and lack of communication between your doctors have negatively impacted your health and quality of life, as well as the medical complications you’ve experienced, like low hemoglobin levels and blood clots.

When meeting with potential lawyers, explain how your surgeries were repeatedly canceled due to what you believe were mistakes or negligence. A skilled attorney will help evaluate whether your doctors' actions meet the legal definition of malpractice and help you hold them accountable for the harm you've endured.
