A: It sounds like you are in a very difficult and confusing situation with your daughter being held in Twiggs County Jail. The first thing you should consider is contacting a criminal defense attorney who can work in Georgia and has experience with cases involving minors and serious charges like kidnapping. Even if you need to find a pro bono attorney, some organizations, like Georgia Legal Aid or other local non-profits, might be able to provide help or direct you to someone who can.

You should gather all the evidence you have, including the messages from her boyfriend that support her innocence. These messages could be crucial for her defense, showing that she did not kidnap him and that they were together willingly. Make sure to share all these details with your attorney, including any potential witnesses or other relevant information that could help build a strong case for your daughter.

Since her boyfriend is also pursuing legal action regarding the PIT maneuver and the resulting injuries, it might be worth exploring whether the details of his lawsuit could help your daughter’s case. Consider reaching out to the attorney handling his lawsuit to see if there is any overlapping evidence or grounds that could support both cases. Stay strong and proactive; the legal system can be challenging, but with persistence and the right legal guidance, you can work towards getting the best possible outcome for your daughter.
