Q: I had a deferred prosecution back in 2008 I completed my treatment to your intensive outpatient had a license until 2020
Under my original driver's license number name then I get a new driver's license number for some reason nobody can tell me why and all that information is now involting out in Nolan void and I'm having to do IIAD and I shouldn't have to because it states that I had a license until 2013 according to their paperwork why am I still having to do this.
A:
It sounds like you’re facing a frustrating situation with your driver's license. If you completed your treatment and had your license reinstated until 2020, there seems to be a mistake in how your records were handled when you were issued a new driver's license number. This could be why the information about your previous compliance is not showing up correctly.
It’s important to contact your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) directly to explain the issue. Bring any paperwork or proof that shows you completed the necessary requirements and had a valid license until 2020. This documentation can help clarify the situation and may lead to resolving the misunderstanding.
You might also want to ask if there is an appeals process or a way to review your case. Sometimes, errors in their system or a mix-up with records can cause unnecessary requirements like the IID. By providing the right documents and speaking with the right department, you might be able to avoid additional steps that you shouldn't have to take.
