Annandale, MN asked in Real Estate Law for Minnesota

Q: Errors in legal description of property in mortgage loan documents

I had to file an affidavit for postponement after receiving a sheriff sale notice for my home. Upon filing the affidavit with the county recorder they informed me that the legal description did not match what they had on file. When I got home I checked my Abstract of title and confirmed not only was the foreclosure legal description wrong but the mortgage documents from 2004 are wrong as well. There is almost a paragraph of errors and missing sentences from what the abstract of title shows.

Is this something that could help me with trying to keep my home?

Sorry to ask but it's been over 72 hours since I posted this question, is this normal for it to take this long to get a reply?
